Programming, coding, updating, initializations and configuration of vehicle control modules — engine ECM, body BCM, transmission TCM, and more — with OEM software. Newly installed modules need programming and configuration; existing ones need updates as manufacturers release new calibrations and TSBs. Mobile and in-house. - Do new modules need programming?
- Typically yes — manufacturers reuse the same physical computer across models, so a new module needs VIN-writing and configuration before it works.
- Can you update existing modules?
- Yes. When a manufacturer puts out a TSB outlining a programming update we can load the latest OEM calibration/software, which is often required during diagnostic repairs.
